How to Customize Your Email Sender and Guest Page URL in UpsellGuru (White-Label Setup)

UpsellGuru’s white-label features allow hotels and hotel groups to fully align guest communications and booking experiences with their own brand. By customizing both your email sender address and guest-facing URLs, you ensure a consistent, professional, and trustworthy guest journey from start to finish.

1. Customizing your email sender address

You can configure UpsellGuru to send emails using your hotel or hotel group domain instead of a generic address.

Available setup options

Option A: Single sender email (simpler setup)
Use one shared email address for all properties.

Example:
noreply@yourhotelgroup.com

This option is ideal for centralized operations and requires email verification through a confirmation link.

Option B: Domain or subdomain setup (recommended)
Use branded sender addresses per property.

Example:
hotel@guests.yourhotelgroup.com

This setup offers greater flexibility and stronger branding across multiple hotels.

Technical setup requirements

To activate a custom sender email, your DNS must be updated with the following:

  • TXT record (domain verification): Confirms ownership of your domain or subdomain

  • DKIM record (email authentication): Improves deliverability and helps prevent emails from being marked as spam

Once these records are added, UpsellGuru verifies your domain through AWS email services and activates your branded sender address.

2. Customizing your guest page URL

You can also replace the default UpsellGuru guest page link with a branded URL under your own domain.

Example

Default URL:
https://upsellguru.com/guest/xyz

Branded URL:
https://upsells.yourhotel.com/guest/xyz

What you need to configure

To enable a custom guest page URL, your IT team will need to:

  • Set up a subdomain under your hotel’s main domain

  • Point the subdomain to UpsellGuru (via DNS configuration)

  • Ensure the subdomain is properly routed to guest-facing pages

Once configured, all guest interactions (offers, upgrades, and booking pages) will display under your branded domain.

Activation process

After completing both email and URL configuration:

  1. DNS records are validated (TXT, DKIM, and subdomain routing)

  2. UpsellGuru activates your white-label setup

  3. Guest communications and pages automatically switch to your branded environment

No further manual changes are required after activation.
