(RMS) Setup & Important Information

Requesting the Interface:

The hotel has to email RMS and request the order form. (Module: Revenue Analytics, Partner: Upsell Guru).
Once the order is processed with Sales, the hotel has to contact RMS Support by logging an S/R to obtain the Web Services Password.

Data Processes:

Information that we receive:
  1. Real-time room type availability
  2. Push notifications for new reservations, modifications, and cancellations
  3. Guest & Booking details (Name, email, stay dates, room type, rate type, reservation source, number of guests and profile language)
  4. All SundryIDs
Information that we update:
  1. Change of room type
  2. Create new transaction to post the upsell using the Sundry ID (room upgrade and extras)


Setup of RMS for UpsellGuru

Please complete all the below points within RMS and UpsellGuru to avoid any errors in the interface. 

1. Make sure that "Available to Kiosk" is enabled for all room types. 

To enable "Available to Kiosk" you must locate your category setup (This naming will change from client to client. Some possible names are room type, house, category, site, etc). Open the category and tick the option "Available to Kiosk" and click "Save".

2. Make sure you have enabled "Booking by room type".  

To enable "Booking by room type", you must locate your category setup (This naming will change from client to client. Some possible names are room type, house, category, site, etc). Open the category and tick the option "Booking by room type" and click "Save".

3. Please provide your UpsellGuru Account Manager a Sundry ID used to post room upgrades.

4. Make sure that the correct Sundry ID is entered in UpsellGuru for all your room types. They should be entered in UpsellGuru in Room Type Setup under “PMS Identifier”.



5. Make sure that the correct Sundry ID is entered in UpsellGuru for all your Extras. They should be entered in UpsellGuru in Extra Type Setup under “PMS Transaction Code”.
